Day 116, Bible in a year, part 2

Jesus invested His life and time meeting with and ministering to those who were less welcome by most.
His companions were the poor, rebels, tax collectors, sinners and the sick and disabled. How many of these types do we keep close company with?
In this world of technology, where we can communicate with millions globally with the click of our fingers via internet have we lost the ability and desire to have tactile relationships?
What I mean is, how many of our relationships are with people near enough to touch?
I have more friends and contacts I communicate with on Face book than I have that I meet and talk to, help or touch in a day or week or year.
It seams that the more internet savvy I get the less I feel a desire or need to leave my house.
Jesus said love your neighbor- I hardly know my neighbors any more.
Not that many years ago when my children were young- before Face Book, social networking or even internet as we know it- I knew and regularly socialized with every one in our subdivision.
As young mothers who stayed home to raise a family and take care of husband and home we met daily to help one another, have a cup of tea, exchange baby sitting or share new ideas. All that comes through places like You Tube now, Via the net with complete strangers we will never likely meet in person or have to help or express love to in and caring way. What has happened to us?
a cute little video with a message guess where i got it- You Tube naturally!
